Life Lessons from Selena's $20K Increase and Higher-level Role

I think it is time for another case study from one of my mentees.

I am so excited to share Selena's success story! Using strategies she learned in the Mentor Me Accelerator, our girl earned a $20,000 salary increase and a higher-level role, all while working in education.

And as her mentor, I could not be more proud.

I think what's really special about Selena and her story is that she broke so many of the myths about what you can and can't do. She moved beyond the things that people say you have to wait for or that you can't do. You can't get a higher-paying role in education these days. You can't make more money by staying at the same organization

All those myths that people tell you about yourself or about your career development, they're just not true.

And Selena's story is a beautiful, motivating example of that.

You don't have to have all the answers yourself. You don't have to DIY your career development. You can actually build a strategy, apply the strategy, and get the results.

Selena came to me with a degree but she was unsure how to leverage that plus her experience to move to the next level of her career. Using skills from the Mentor Me Accelerator, Selena was able to speak to her expertise and position herself as the expert that she already was.

I want you to be strategic and intentional about the degrees that you're earning to make sure that you're leveraging these degrees in a way that's actually going to help you make more money and have more impact, just like Selena was able to do.

I'm so excited to help more professional women advance their careers. You can see the same results as Selena. You don’t have to walk alone in your career development. You can get expert-level mentorship right now.
