Life Lessons to Secure a Job Offer by ASKING 3 Interview Questions

Sure you plan how to answer interview questions but you also need to know how to ask questions during an interview to make sure the organization and position are a good fit for you and your career.

Today we'll talk about three questions to ask in an interview to secure the job offer.

But first, let’s start with what you value. Before you even go to the interview, identify exactly what you value and what’s important to you in this season of your career. Then make sure you're able to ask questions related to those things.

Question one - I like to ask this question in interviews as it relates to diversity. In what ways has this organization demonstrated its value of diversity, equity, and inclusion over the last year?

Question two - Given my demonstrated experience and expertise related to this role, a salary of X is aligned with my qualifications. Would you agree?

Question three - Across the course of my career, I've been able to develop and implement creative and innovative solutions to solve organizational problems. Is that approach something that you all would value in this organization as well?

You want to ask the question in a way that demonstrates what you're already good at and demonstrates your expertise. We must ask critical questions in interviews to make sure that we only consider roles that will value us and recognize us as the experts that we are. I invite you to interrogate these interviewers.

Make sure that you're really evaluating these organizations as a good fit for you and if you're unsure, that's what I'm here for as a mentor. If you are someone who’s thinking, “I need to do something different in my career because what I was doing in 2022 was not working.” If it's not working, then it's time to do something new. And I'm excited to help you.

I want to invite you into mentorship. I'm excited to serve.
