Job searching is more than finding jobs online and hitting the apply button. Having a defined process for your job search is important to make sure your search is productive and proactive. Use these strategies to supercharge your job search:

Search for Jobs

Use job searching and recruiting sites like Glassdoor, LinkedIn, and Indeed. Don’t forget to search and apply directly on company and organization websites.

Apply for Jobs

It’s not enough to look for jobs; you have to take action. If you are qualified, apply within 14 days of finding the posting.

Network

Seek out networking opportunities to position yourself and get exposure as an expert.

Check-in with Your References

Don’t let the only time references hear from you be when you need something. Check-in regularly.

Research the Industry

If you are searching for a job in a field, find out the most pressing issue facing that industry. Determine how hiring you will solve that issue.
