Life Lessons in Having a Plan (even when things go wrong)

One of my favorite gospel songs is Travis Greene’s “Intentional” where he sings “All things are working for my good, yeah, 'Cause He's intentional, Never failing.” I believe this about God and I know it’s true for me and my life as well. AND Newsflash: Things are going to fall apart.

You might be asking, “Ashley, how can both be true? How can you believe that everything will work out and that things will fall apart?”

I will answer you with a couple of points actually. First, I know this to be true because it’s my lived experience. Even when things were falling apart, I knew things were working together for my good.

Also, I have a plan. Not just a plan fashioned by my own might and strength, but one that God ordained for me. One that was provided for me, set in motion before I was thought of, and one that my every move is aligned with when I’m operating in His perfect will.

Whew, that was soooo preachy, but it’s true for me and I believe it’s true for you. Maybe you’ve been avoiding a plan because you’re stuck on the ‘things are going to fall apart’ side. Or maybe you’re devastated that things haven’t worked out according to your own plan.

Remember both are true.
