Life Lessons in Determining if Hiring a Career Coach is Worth It

Today, let’s talk numbers. All the numbers. 🔢

I'm going to be sharing with you the raw numbers of what my mentees invested to work with me, to work with an expert-level mentor. The cost of working with me. What it looks like, what investment looks like for different mentees.

And I'm going to show you the amazing return on investment.

Before working with me, many women have several fixed expenses in their budget. Food, rent/mortgage, student loan payments etc. 📝

But often, women have other things they have to pay for each month as well. Those student loans that have been hanging around for years, a course that they signed up for, paying for that resume rewrite, etc.

So, when they get on a call with me, they are thinking, “Is this worth it? Is this going to get me results? Am I going to see a return on my investment?” 🤔

We all know that education is not cheap, so many of us have degrees that we’re still paying for.

Plus, many of the women that I mentor don’t feel that their degree has given them the return that they were hoping for when they walked across the stage at graduation. 👩🏾‍🎓

So, to make the decision to invest in a mentorship program, there is a lot of hesitancy. And so I want to make sure that I don't repeat that same cycle. I want to make sure as a mentor, I'm making sure you get what you came for that you're getting a significant return on your investment.

💲Sarah invested in the Mentor Me Accelerator program at 2.5k. What was her return on investment? A 35k salary increase. So, Sarah saw a 300% return on what she invested in her career development.

💲Kim also invested in the Mentor Me Accelerator program at $2,500. What was Kim’s return on investment? Kim saw a $17,000 salary increase. A 250% return on her investment.

💲Tracee made her $2,500 investment into the Mentor Me Accelerator program while she was working in education. Through some mindset work while in the program, Tracee transitioned to nonprofit work, which came with a $15,000 salary increase. So, Tracee’s return on investment was financial, yes, but also got her out of a job that she wasn’t happy with, and into a new role that she was excited about.

💲And, finally, my mentee Erica made her 3k investment into the Mentor Me Accelerator program. Erica secured a 30k salary increase leveraging skills she learned from the Accelerator program. Another 300% return of investment.

So, instead of asking yourself, “How can I afford to work with Ashley?” You should start telling yourself, “I can’t afford NOT to work with Ashley!”

Flat out, there's no other kind of investment you can make in yourself that's going to garner that kind of return. And I'm able to help my mentees achieve these kinds of returns because the strategy works.

It's not just me empowering you. It's not just me updating your resume. It's not just me encouraging you or putting you on.

It's about applying strategy to your career development so that you can make more money and have more impact. It's about using what you already have, the knowledge that you already have to drive massive impact and to make more money in your career. 💁🏾‍♀️

So, don’t wait. Seriously. Take some time today and schedule your Mentor Moment. You really can’t afford not to.
