Life Lessons in Finding Freedom in your Career

Today we're talking about finding freedom in your career.

There is joy, peace, ease, and even freedom in the world of work. And if no one has ever told you that I'm here to spread the good news and gospel that work does not have to be exhausting or overwhelming. You don't have to be underpaid. You don't have to be worn out. You can do meaningful work. You can do passion-filled work. And you can be paid well in the world of work because freedom is available for you and your career.

I want to talk about my career trajectory, how I came to find freedom in my career, and how I now mentor hundreds of women from a place of freedom and being well-paid in their work and a place of joy and ease.

So if you are a professional woman who finds yourself in a role where it feels miserable, where it feels bogged down, where you don't feel freedom, where you feel chained to your desk or chained to your work or chained to the outcome of your industry, I want to invite you into a beautiful thing called freedom and remind you that it is available for you in your career or remind you for the first time.

I want to share with you for the first time that freedom is available in your career.

I want to start by sharing my personal story. I will tell you that I've been working since I turned 16. I remember wanting a job badly because I believed at the time that work would be freedom.

And for me, it was a lot about freedom, a lot about getting out of my mom's house and being away from my siblings and having somewhere to go where people would think highly of me and I would be paid well, and they would give me a free meal right while I was there.

I have always loved to work, and it was always a freedom thing like the ability to make my own money and do my something and get out of the house.

Everybody I grew up around was overworked and underpaid. And that was a legacy thing. That's all I knew. That's all I knew about work: you would be overworked and underpaid.

I'm here to share with you today that the freedom, flexibility, autonomy, and earning, the kind of money you desire, are available to you. And the pathway to that is your ability to speak to your expertise in a way that will make high-paying employers notice. Your pathway to the freedom and flexibility you desire is your ability to speak to the outcomes you drive and the problems you solve for an employer.

You can find that freedom for yourself today by joining the Mentor Me Accelerator. You don’t have to stay stuck in that place of being overworked and underpaid. You can be valued and paid well for the work you do.

I'm now accepting new mentees, and I invite you to apply to the Mentor Me Accelerator.
